At Spatium, accessible from the Chrome Web Store, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that are processed by Spatium and how we use it.

Legal Basis

Our usage analytics is anonymous and is not tied to your account or identity; where the law requires a legal basis for this processing, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving Spatium. If you create an account, we process the related information to provide that account and its features. You can stop all analytics at any time by uninstalling the extension, and you can contact us with any privacy request at support@solusmakers.com.

Information We Collect and Use

We collect the minimum information needed to run Spatium, understand how it is used, and provide the optional Spatium Pro features. Specifically:

Geolocation

Spatium uses your device's approximate location to compute sunrise, sunset, moon, seasons and golden-hour information. These calculations are performed locally within your browser. Your precise geolocation is never sent to our servers, stored by us, or included in our analytics.

Usage analytics

We use OpenPanel, an analytics service we host ourselves, to understand how Spatium is used so we can improve it. This analytics is anonymous — it is not linked to your account, email or identity. It includes:

• Product events — which widgets you enable or disable, navigation within the extension and on our website, page and screen views, and interactions with our upgrade prompts.
• Technical context — the extension or app version, basic information your browser provides, and whether you have an active Spatium Pro subscription.
• Approximate location — a country, region or city that OpenPanel derives from your IP address (never your precise device location).
• A visitor identifier — a randomly generated id stored in your browser's local storage to count unique visitors and sessions. It is not a cookie, is not used for advertising, and is not sold or shared for cross-site tracking.

Account information

You can use Spatium without an account. If you choose to sign in (via Google, handled through Amazon Cognito):

• We process your email address and an account identifier to provide the account.
• We store content you create in the app, such as your display name and your favorited quotes.

This account information is used only to operate Spatium and its Pro features; it is never linked to our anonymous usage analytics. We do not collect your browsing history.

Payments

If you subscribe to Spatium Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; Stripe processes that information under its own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following service providers only as needed to operate Spatium:

• OpenPanel — privacy-friendly, cookieless product analytics (self-hosted by us).
• Amazon Web Services / Amazon Cognito — authentication and backend infrastructure.
• Google — optional sign-in.
• Stripe — subscription payment processing.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data Storage and Retention

Analytics events and any account data are stored on infrastructure operated by us and our service providers. We retain this information for as long as needed to provide and improve Spatium, and we delete account-related data on request or when you delete your account.

Data Protection

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

User Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information associated with your account. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@solusmakers.com with the subject line “Spatium”. Deleting your account removes the personal data associated with it.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless but stores a randomly generated visitor identifier in your browser's local storage, as described above. Signing in also stores session tokens locally so you stay logged in.

Policy Updates

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be posted on our website and notified through our extension. Continued use of Spatium after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
